After graduating in a BA Film and Theatre at Reading University, I went on to cut my teeth at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon within the Front of House department as well as having a wider interest in technical management. I later became Assistant General Manager at the Finborough Theatre in Earls Court. I left the RSC to become Shaw Theatre Manager in October 2015 and have been very proudly running and programming this gem of a theatre ever since.
Highlights include hosting the UK finale of Tape Face's UK 2016 tour before he moved to his London Garrick and Flamingo Rooms Las Vegas residencies, the World Burlesque Festival 2017 with Chaz Royale, regulary hosting BBC recording's such as Just A Minute, The Unbelievable Truth, The Now Show and The Infinite Monkey Cage, as well as UCLU Drama Society building a truly impressive life sized rhino puppet in the theatre workshop for their 2017 production of Rhinoceros.
Current projects include researching the Shaw history for a permanent exhibition in our foyer - so do send in your stories and memories!
I am also an ambassador for the SOLT Inspiring The Future Of Theatre, a program that brings theatre professionals to places of eduction to promote students to explore a career in theatre. If you would like to know more about becoming an ambassador then follow the link!
If you see me at the bar, mine is a large and very cold prosecco!
