Marissa McKinnon

Marissa McKinnon

Assistant Theatre Manager

From a young age I have always had an interest in the arts, whether it be singing acting or dancing. I graduated with a degree in Drama, Theatre and Performance at the University of Roehampton, where I was able to explore theatre in depth studying race, sexuality, gender and even food in performance.

Alongside my background in Drama, I am also a singer and songwriter of music within the dancehall and pop genre. In 2017 I performed at the Birmingham NEC arena for the Open Mic UK finals and I have been lucky enough to perform with my old reggae band at events held at the Royal Festival Hall, The Ritzy (OXJAM festival), Brixton Splash Carnival and many other great venues. I also sing at the Jazz After Dark bar in Soho, which is renowned for being the place where Amy Winehouse began her career. If you’d like to listen to any of my music visit https://soundcloud.com/marissamckinnon

if you see me at the bar I’ll have a Sauvignon Blanc on a classy day and JD on a Friday ;) If you’re lucky I might even sing!
