For one night only, see the life-affirming rock musical RENT at the Shaw Theatre in aid of Terrence Higgins Trust.

Loosely based on Puccini's opera 'La Bohème', this timeless celebration of friendship, love and loyalty through adversity has become a pop culture phenomenon that continues to speak loudly and defiantly to generations across the globe.

Brought to life in just one week of rehearsals, this breathtaking, multi-award winning musical by Jonathan Larson follows a year in the lives of seven young artists, struggling to survive in New York City during the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the early 1990's.

Book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson. Musical arrangements by Steve Skinner. Musical Supervision and additional arrangements by Tim Weil. Original concept and additional lyrics by Billy Aronson. Dramaturgy by Lynn Thomson.

Rent was originally produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe).
